Uyghur Tribunal: hearings in June & September 2021
The UYGHUR TRIBUNAL is an independent people’s tribunal to investigate ongoing atrocities against the Uyghurs, Kazakhs and other Turkic Muslim Populations. It is investigating whether the crimes committed by China constitute crimes against humanity and/or genocide.
In June 2020 Dolkun Isa, President of the World Uyghur Congress (WUC), formally requested that Sir Geoffrey Nice QC establish and chair a people’s tribunal. The Uyghur Tribunal was launched on 3 September 2020 with assistance from a non-governmental organisation, the Coalition for Genocide Response. Sir Nice earlier, from 2018 to 2020 also chaired the CHINA TRIBUNAL. The Uyghur Tribunal is seated in London, UK.
From June 4 to 7, 2021 the first public hearings were held. Anyone interested could follow the hearings also via internet. The hearings during 4 days lasted almost 40 hours. The amount of evidence showed to be a lot as well as strong.

The second hearings will take place in September 2021. Once more, the Uyghur Tribunal will hear the testimonies of factwitnesses and expertwitnesses during 4 full days. The hearings will take place from September 10 to 13 and last from 9am until 6pm (eventually longer). You can follow the hearings online.
The Final Judgement of the Uyghur Tribunal will be published at the end of 2021. However, some findings will be published already after the hearings in June 2021. China Alarm expects these findings during the weeks to come.
